Tom Cornford

Tom Cornford is Senior Lecturer in Theatre and Performance at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London; Associate Editor of Studies in Theatre and Performance, and a director and dramaturg. His research focuses on relationships between the practices of theatre-making and contemporary politics and culture since the early twentieth century and the politics of representation in contemporary theatre, particularly with respect to race. Forthcoming publications include a special issue of Contemporary Theatre Review on the director Katie Mitchell, Theatre Studios: A History of Ensemble Theatre-Making (Routledge), and Michael Chekhov in the Twenty-First Century: New Pathways (Bloomsbury).
